New at CBE Tutoring Center!

Group tutoring is now available for all subjects except for BUAD. You are welcome to bring your friends and study together with your tutor. In order to maintain an effective learning environment, the maximum number of students in a group is 3.

Our Mission

The CBE Tutoring Center is operated by the College of Business and Economics. Our mission is to assist business students to become more successful at the university by offering tutoring assistance in various business subjects and maintaining a friendly learning environment.

Our Objectives

  • Provide students with academic support that is beyond the classroom to reinforce and to enhance their learning.
  • Help students work with academic problems to assist them to become better learners.
  • Help students learn skills that they will be able to use independently to improve their written work.
  • Provide convenient appointment scheduling and make closer contact with the tutors and students.
  • Encourage, advise, suggest improvements, congratulate the "winners" and comfort the "losers". We are like coaches, but we don't run the race.

Spring 2008

Monday ~ Thursday   10:00 am - 6:30 pm

Friday    10:00 am - 1.00 pm

Hours are subject to change with tutors' availability.  We observe all campus and national holidays.

BUAD TUTORING POLICY

Though our online sign-up system allows users to reserve more than one session per day, BUAD tutoring is limited to ONE session per day.  Students may sign up for a MAXIMUM of TWO sessions per week.  Failure to comply with this policy leads to cancellation of the excessive appointment(s) without notice.

We provide tutoring in accounting, business writing, finance, and statistics at undergraduate and graduate levels. See Tutors' Schedule for the complete list of courses.

Appointments can be made online. First time users will need to Sign up to receive their login name and password.
