INTERNATIONAL TRAINEESHIP EXCHANGE PROGRAM (ITEP)

Each year, AIESEC arranges over 8,000 practical-experience work internships for students and recent graduates from around the world. The program works on a reciprocal basis: for every traineeship created by an AIESEC committee, a member from that committee will be given the opportunity to participate in the traineeship program. Every AIESEC committee, worldwide, "markets" the ITEP program to local companies thereby creating an international network of traineeships.

• the company receives a high-caliber, cost-efficient, short-term trainee with experience in a different culture
  
• the trainee receives valuable hands-on work experience in a foreign country
  
• the Local Committee receives a "credit" to send a student on an international traineeship
  
• the Local Committee receives cultural interaction with the trainee while serving as an extended host family
